General information only, not tax advice. We are not HMRC and are not affiliated with it. Check GOV.UK and your platform. Last checked against GOV.UK: 17 October 2026. Anything marked expected should be re-checked; we plan to re-check the CARF pages on 1 December 2026. Examples use made-up figures or GOV.UK's own examples. Do not enter personal identifiers (National Insurance number, UTR, name, date of birth) on this site.

Short answer: HMRC says exchange reports aren't tax calculations and don't track pooled costs, so you must keep your own records. Software can help organise them, but you remain responsible. We haven't tested the products, don't rank them and state no prices or savings.

What to compare

  1. UK rules: pooling and the same-day and 30-day rules as described on GOV.UK; ask each vendor how it applies them.
  2. Imports from the exchanges and wallets you actually use.
  3. Reports you can use to complete the cryptoasset section of Self Assessment.
  4. Records HMRC lists (per pool, per transaction, value in sterling).
  5. Pricing and refund terms (check on the day).
  6. Privacy: data stored, deletion, and what you must enter (our site never asks for identifiers).
